Logistics Provider Leads the Way in Safety Management
CRT Group recently celebrated the achievement of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) management system certification (AS/NZS 4801) across all of its branches throughout Australia, reinforcing the logistic provider’s commitment to leadership through the use of recognised management systems.
CRT Group CEO, Cameron Dunn explains how the certification is an important part of the overall strategy for the business.
“CRT Group is focused on being a leader in the logistics industry, evident not only to our customers, but also by our staff and the wider business community, and the achievement of OH&S management system certification is an important step towards this.
Mr Dunn noted that CRT Group was one of only a handful of logistics providers that have certification in the AS/NZS4801 standard across all branches, demonstrating that CRT Group is leading the way with OHS safety management systems in the logistics industry.
He said, “Safety is obviously a key consideration for the logistics industry and our OH&S management system certification will enhance CRT’s management of this area by ensuring that risks are actively identified and minimised on an ongoing basis”
“To ensure the system continues to operate to the required standard over time, regular audits of performance against the standard will be carried out by specialist independent audit organisations.
“This new certification complements our quality management system certification to the internationally recognized ISO 9001 standard and provides CRT with a significant edge in the overall management of our business.”
Lead Assessor from DLIQ Certification Services, Jeremy Long explains the commitment required to achieve certification.
He said, “The certification to AS/NZS4801 is testament to the importance that CRT Group places on OHS and process improvement.”
“The commitment of CRT Group staff, across all branches and their understanding of the system requirements as they apply to all facets of the logistics business is to be commended. It has not happened overnight, but has been built over years of insisting on a safety first culture", said Mr Long.
