CRT Group Appoints New CEO

In an era when transport and logistics is one of several growth industries and constantly embracing changes, CRT Group is pleased to announce a new appointment.

CRT Group specialises in providing innovative supply chain solutions, tailored to meet the needs of industry within Australasia. Over the past 18 months the company has undergone several changes, beginning in July 2005 when CRT Group went from being a family owned business operated by the Rees Family, to one that became part of the portfolio of companies owned by logistics giant, QR National.

This week another exciting development was announced with the appointment of Mr Cameron Dunn to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Mr Dunn’s extensive experience in the logistics industry spans over twenty years, with the last four years spent as National Operations Manager of CRT Group.

In announcing the appointment Mr Clive Oldfield, GGM of QR National noted the broad experience and intrinsic knowledge that Cameron would bring to the role.

“We are pleased to announce that Cameron Dunn has been appointed to the role of CEO of CRT Group, effective as of 26 August 2006.

Cameron is extremely well-positioned to take on this role, given his depth of knowledge of the industry, his experience within CRT Group and understanding of the organisation’s culture.

It is both an exciting and rewarding time for CRT Group, and this appointment reflects the strength of CRT management and the commitment of employees to ensuring its continued success” said Mr Oldfield.

In acknowledging his appointment to the role of CEO, Mr Cameron Dunn noted a key factor to the successes achieved up to this point in time by CRT Group.

Cameron is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (MCIT) and is currently the Vice Chairman of the VTA General Freight Committee, which he has occupied since 2003.
