Championing Safety on the Roads

Safety is the core value of our business and it is for this reason that our safety vision is ´to be world class in safety´. 

As a business we have made safety non-negotiable in all of our dealings, to ensure that our customers and staff remain safe.

Some months ago, Ray Worthey, who is one of our valued professional operators came up with the idea of designing a bumper sticker that would encourage drivers on the road to ´switch onto safety´.  As Ray spends many hours on the road, he is passionate about getting the message across that all drivers (car, motorcyle and heavy vehicles) have an important role to play to ensure that the roads are safe.

Accordingly, CRT Group has produced a bumper sticker that you may notice on some of our fleet next time you pass a CRT truck on the road.

Over the last 3 years, our organisation has worked extremely hard to implement a robust safety plan and we have invested heavily in resources and training for our staff, to ensure that any task that we undertake is done so safely.

It is through our Safety Management System and the commitment of staff such as Ray, that CRT Group was able to achieve the milestone of operating for a 12 month period with zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI) on 1 March 2009.

We have continued to maintain this high level of performance for 16 months now and we continue to remain focused on injury prevention.   It´s important to remember that ´we are all responsible for safety´ whether at work or at home!
